Hubby at the moment in Kuwait.
Hope this will be enforced and many of our wrongfully convicted people will be released.
This is a very important issue. We need people to support our cause. It can affect anybody. If you think it will not happened to you, think twice about it. It can. We live in a world of accusation by women, a witch-hunt, and the justice is aware of it.
Just to keep you updated. We need a judge who is open minded, fair and has the courage to stand up for the truth. Too many innocent people are imprisoned for a crime they did not commit here in the USA.
DeShawn Reed and his uncle Marvin Reed were granted a new trial in Michigan today, more than eight years after they were convicted of a shooting they say they didn't commit. The case was the first legal victory for the new Innocence Clinic at the University of Michigan Law School.
I understand and while all the headlines seem to focus on high profile exoneration's based on newly discovered DNA evidence, far too many innocent individuals sit imprisoned; ignored by the legal system and prisoner advocacy groups like the innocence project because the case isn't media worthy.
I too am interested in true justice, not just a conviction and a system that is true designed to rehabilitate.
I am a paralegal and a former prisoner who served ten years for a drug sale that I didn't commit, fighting all the way.
Keep Fighting. I support your cause.
